Height: 30′-40′ Spread: 30′-40′. A durable, globe-shaped tree that can be variable in height. Dense foliage is dark green in summer. Fall color is often yellow, but at times turns brilliant orange-red to reddish-brown. Large greenish yellow flowers appear in spring followed by prickly seed pods. Seeds are poisonous to people, but are attractive to squirrels. Durable and extremely hardy medium sized tree with a unique appearance. Full sun. Zone 3.
