Height: 1.5′-3′ Spread: 5′-10′. An Uncompaghre Plateau selection that is a much more vigorous manzanita than our other selections. Smooth cinnamon-red to purplish exfoliating bark and bright green oval leaves. White flowers tinged with pink appear in March to April followed by red berries in September-October. The original plant (from an educated guess by Betsy Baldwin-Owens) is located on the Redlands side of Grand Junction. Will struggle in calcareous/clay soils. Full sun to part shade.
