Height: 6″-8″ Spread: 4′-6′. The plants we carry are the progeny of specimens collected from the Uncompaghre Plateau. Dense prostrate plants have smooth cinnamon-red to purplish exfoliating bark and bright green oval leaves. White to pink flowers appear in early spring followed by a dry red berry in September-October. This drought tolerant plant with its lush green appearance may prove to be a superior plant for Colorado gardeners though it struggles in calcareous/clay soils. Full sun/part shade.
