Height: 20″-24″ Spread: 20″-24″. ‘Blonde Ambition’ is a larger, very showy cultivar of the native Blue Grama Grass. This is a robust, clump grass with attractive blue-green grass blades; it begins to bloom in mid-July with 2″ long, chartreuse seed heads held horizontally on tall, straight stems reaching 30-36″ high. The seed heads resemble long ‘eyelashes’ and mature to blonde by late August. Tolerates dry conditions. Warm season grass. Full sun. Plant Select® 2011. Zone 4.
