Height: 2′-3′ Spread: 3′-4′. Small shrub with erect slender branches and an open growth habit. Linear narrow leaves are blue-green turning to maroon in winter. Semi-evergreen to deciduous in harsh winters. Very attractive pink fruit capsules that open into dangling, star-shaped pink ‘parachutes’ when dried in fall. Tolerant to dry soil and extremely hardy. Best in part sun. Zone 4.
