Height: 3′-4” Spread: 4′-6′. We made this selection originally from seeds collected by the Morten Arboretum in Jersey County, IL. Unlike the popular cultivar ‘Annabelle’ which produces sterile flowers, the white flowers on ‘Bee Friendly’ are mostly fertile and are extremely attractive to a bevy of pollinators, particularly Honey Bees. In mid summer it is an abundant producer of round clusters of white (4″ wide) flowers that are alive with insect activity. Best in part shade, the east side of a house is perfect. Zone 4.
