Height: 20′-30′ Spread: 15′-20′. Bushy, irregularly-shaped, slow-growing pine with dark green needles dotted with white pitch. This Western native grows into ancient specimens on exposed slopes at high elevations and are some of the oldest living organisms on Earth with some estimated at 4000 years old. Drought tolerant when established; good for a hot, dry exposed area. Must have good drainage. Can be easily overwatered if planted in an irrigated lawn area. Full sun. Zone 2.
