Height: 3′-4′ Spread: 3′-4′. A yellow fruited Western Sand Cherry found in the foothills just west of Fort Collins, CO. Aboundant blooms of fragrant flowers in May followed by golden fruits in early August. Althoguh edilble and usefull in jam and jelly making, these fruits are somewhat astringent eaten fresh and are best left for wildlife. The leves are shiny dark green. Loves hot and dry conditions. A perfect xerixc native for the interior west. Zone 4.
