Height: 20′-25′ Spread: 20′-25′. The new growth on this plant appears bright green, turning burgundy-red as the leaves mature. Fragrant white flower clusters appear in late April to early May; the tart but edible fruit ripens to black in late summer if the birds do not find it first. An attractive, fast-growing plant that is great for a quick screen. May be trained into a tree but requires continual maintenance of suckers. Full sun. Zone 2.
