Height: 6′-8′ Spread: 6′-8′. Originally relased in Canada in 1999 and is only recently becoming available in America. A hybrid cross between a pie cherry (p. cerasus) and a dwarf ground cherry (P. fruticosa) makes a cold hardy bush cherry. Fruit is dark red, almost black and is said to be the first pie cherry to ripen. Very cold hardy. Full sun. Zone 3.
