Height: 50′-70′ Spread: 40′-50′. Fast-growing oak with a broad-spreading, open crown. The leaves are medium green and turn russet to brick-red in fall. Prefers well-drained, acid soils and will likely develop chlorosis in alkaline soils. However, there are some nice older specimens growing along the Front Range, so this tree may be worth a try. Full sun. Zone 4.
