Height: 40′-60′ Spread: 40′-60′. A native willow common along riversides with reddish brown bark and dark orange twigs. The leaves are long, glossy, light-green resembling those of the peach, which gives rise to this tree’s common name. Mature trees have somewhat pendulous twigs giving them an almost weeping appearance. Yellow catkins appear the same time as the new leaves in early spring. Yellow fall color. Prefers moist soils. Full sun. Zone 4.
