Height: 8′-12′ Spread: 7′-10′. Discovered by Samuel Thayer near the Mondeaux River in north central Wisconsin. The ornamental red fruit, although sour, lacks any bitterness common in most of the other American Cranberry Viburnum cultivars. Makes a wonderful subsitute for Cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving dinner. The large shrub grows up to 12 feet tall and nearly equally as wide. In late spring the flowers bloom white in abundant clusters. Hardy to zone 3. Zone 3.
